Food Experiences

Did you know...

Portugal is a seafaring nation. So it makes sense that seafood is at the heart of our cooking. Grilled over charcoal, stewed in cataplanas or served simply with olive oil and herbs… you’ll love it all!

But it’s not all fish. Inland, you’ll find dishes like cozido à portuguesa – a slow-cooked mix of meats, sausages and vegetables all in one pot.

We’ve been pressing olive oil here for centuries too. You’ll taste it in almost everything.

And the sweets… many of which were created by nuns and monks using little more than egg yolks and sugar.

Pastel de nata is just the start!

Food experiences FAQ

Q. What kind of food will I try?
Depends on the region and the season. Fresh seafood, cured meats, farmhouse cheeses, pastries still made by hand… we keep it local and real.

Q. I have dietary restrictions. Can I still join?
Yes! Just let us know ahead of time. We’ll adjust things without losing the flavor or the experience.

Q. Do I need to be a foodie?
Not at all. You just need to be open to trying something new. That’s where the fun is!

Q. Will we eat in restaurants?
Yes. But also in markets, small taverns and open-air eateries where everything is cooked in front of you.

Q. Can I mix this with other experiences?
Of course. Food fits beautifully with cultural visits, wine tours or even a surf session followed by a beach picnic.
