Q. Do you offer trips for all surf levels?
We do! Some guests are catching their first green wave, others have been surfing for decades. We’ll choose the right spots for you, based on your level, comfort and what you want out of the trip.
Q. When is the best time to surf in Portugal?
It really depends on what you’re looking for. Autumn and winter bring bigger swells and more powerful waves. Spring and summer tend to be smaller and great for just having fun. There are waves all year, really!
Q. Can you help with boards and gear?
Of course! Bring your own if you like, or we’ll sort everything you need. No problem.
Q. Is it just about surfing?
No way. Surf is the anchor, but there’s so much more. Between sessions you’ll eat, see, drink and otherwise experience the richness of Portugal (outside of the ocean).
Q. Where in Portugal do you surf?
All along the coast. Ericeira, Peniche, Alentejo, the Algarve… we go where the swell is best and the crowds aren’t. We also surf the islands. The Azores and Madeira offer warmer water, wild landscapes and uncrowded breaks. Madeira even gets a mention in Barbarian Days: A Surfing Life by William Finnegan, which won the Pulitzer Prize. If you’re up for adventure, we’ll take you there too!
