Think you can blend with the best of them? Bottle your own wine amongst the sun-drenched hills of Alentejo. This isn’t your typical wine tasting experience. It’s your label, your blend, your story
Departure at 9am, with private pickup in Lisbon for about 2 hours till Vale das Éguas village, from municipality of Santiago do Cacém, in a valley between the Serra de Santiago and the Serra do Cercal in the Alentejo. This is an opportunity to meet us and talk about this unique experience.
Visit Herdade do Cebolal, a family-owned winery with more than 130 years of tradition.
On a guided tour will be possible to see the vineyards and get to know the history of the winery the Herdade do Cebolal, a family winery created on 1890 currently managed by the fourth and fifth generation, how they are wine artisans, respecting the authenticity of the terroir, which translates into wines with personality, respect for the environment and low chemical intervention.
Craft your own blend from select grape varieties and bottle it yourself to take home. In the winery, and with the support from the local guide/winemaker, you will be guided through the entire process, blending, bottling, corking and finally labelling.
Start by tasting the 3 local grapes varieties, red or white, to sense the taste of each one and take notes about it. Then, blend it them as you enjoyed more according to your taste. With the blending done, next will be bottling process, move into the corking machine for corking it and, finally, glue the custom label with your name on the bottle. Take it home with you.
Taste wines straight from the vats and barrels plus two bottled selections that reflect the unique terroir paired with local flavors with a spread of artisanal cheeses, cured sausages and fresh-baked bread.
Drive back to Lisbon meeting point to drop off at 7pm.
