Dive and taste the sea wines and food of Alentejo with pick-up in Lisbon or at the hotel in a private van, we’ll drive you for about 2 hours till to Porto Covo village in Alentejo, popular for the beautiful beaches.
First stop will be at the local Scuba Diving School for the safety briefing, gear up and move into the boat till the diving spot at the sea.
With or without previous experience, will be possible to do a baptism dive up to 10 meters (30 feet) to explore the local sea life (Sea anemones, Nudibranchs, Octopus, Crustaceans and Algae’s) and collect the wine aged bottle on the sea.
After will be time to lunch at a restaurant to taste the Alentejo food. The menu includes starters, drinks, main dishes, desserts and coffee. A truly degustation lunch of traditional Alentejo food with a twist by a new generation chefs.
In the afternoon is time to visit the Herdade do Cebolal, a family winery created on 1890 currently managed by the fourth and fifth generation, on a guided tour know their history and how they are wine artisans, respecting the authenticity of the terroir, which translates into wines with personality, respect for the environment and low chemical intervention.
On the visit will be possible to see the vineyards, get to know the history of the winery and taste wines from the vats or barrels, 2 bottle wines and some local snacks, plus a bottle of the wine Emerso, same of the sea wine but aged on oak barrels to experience the differences. Return to Lisbon.
Because of the sea conditions for the baptism diving, this experience only can take place between June and September.
