I didn't hold out much hope but to my surprise Antonio responded quickly with a customised itinerary which was exactly what we were looking for: transport, a lovely hotel central to Cascais, surfing, a tour of Lisbon and Sintra and a chance to taste some great dishes and specialities along the way.

But in the end it was so much more than that. It was almost like having a private chauffeur and knowledgeable guide at your service at all times with many wonderful and generous surprises along the way. We have travelled a lot over the years but I can honestly say we've never felt so relaxed and well taken care of. My husband had never been to Portugal before and definitely wants to return, I got to eat the best octopus I have ever tasted and the kids can't stop talking about their amazing surfing holiday :)
